She crocheted WHAT?

While I'm dealing with this early morning's bout with insomnia I came across the cutest reason to learn to crochet--check it out here.

It looks like a neat idea for a small gift for work or the Flying Spaghetti Monster's birthday or whatever reason you might want something small and cute to give away. I think it'd be especially good if you live in a state with only two seasons, one being Road Construction.

If you don't want to make your own, I think the person's got a link to her Etsy store too.

I'll get both inventory and personal stuff updated very soon--it's been another round of the Plagues here so it'll either be boring as hell or very informative. I promise to make up for that with a new pic of the kitten, whose designation (NOT her name--when she gets to her forever home they will name her, and if I name her I will be tempted to keep her adorable furry little ass and that just can't happen) is Little Bean.

Smacking myself upside the head, in "I coulda had a V-8" style...

I'm a moron--I just realized I HAVE to learn to make these--perfect for my favorite Detour and it would be a mortal sin not to do it.

Now, must obtain yarn... and realize this is another cool yarn use so I simply MUST buy more yarn, like I actually need more yarn (Like I need another hole in the head, but what's a girl to do? It's not like I have any other artsy thing I do.)

(Oh wait, there might be one thing I do around here somewhere...)

I would like to make these, and then set them up around my current knitting project sitting on the coffee table. STAY AWAY! CAUTION! LIVE KNITTING!

ESC--I absolutely HAD to go get the yarn (I got some Hot Orange Sugar N Cream cotton worsted--I think it'll work well since that's what the person who wrote the pattern used for the ones she did), beads and stuffing. Now once I clear what's on my needles now I'll be trying this out.

And of course, if I really like it I'm taking them to the Detour meeting and making a few pressies or sales (whichever is permissible there).

I'm just laughin'. I'm not sure why, but these are just so funny right now.

ESC--LOL! Great idea! I'm probably going to make them as a little present for all the folks I work with at the con. Between the volunteers and staff (who also volunteer, as well as pay their way into the convention just like everyone else) there's about 100+ people making the con go 'round, so I thought it would be a cool thing.

Nessa--It's even funnier when your boyfriend calls them "Schneider eggs".
