Hi, honey, I'm home!
I spent the weekend in Madison, WI at Geek|Kon, a convention for geekdom in all its many forms. This year's convention had more anime available, especially in panels and video. They also invited two absolutely great voice actors, Christopher Ayres and Eric Vale, and the only way to describe them is to say they're absolutely stellar.
While I didn't get tons of time to play, I did have a perfect seat for people-watching--the only thing missing from THAT show was the popcorn. I have some great pics--I'm not sure when I'll be able to post them-my PC died when I went to print labels for the final production run for goodies for the Artists' Alley table (yes, they put my name on the website--it was a blast to see someone else put "Lyeslingers" somewhere for everyone to see!) so it may take me a few days to get them out of the cameras and out to show, so keep an eye out and a Google page open to catch them.
It's late so I'm going to end this now and will post more after a day or two of recovery along with a few other things I've been meaning to get up here. So, until brain and body are better, take a look at the pics and stuff I've got up on Facebook--it could be interesting. You can also see pictures from GeekKon 2010 here. Have a good night and I'll post again soon as I can.

Aargh. And, of course, I didn't go this year. My daughter was there all three days though. The hotel is about 20 minutes from our house.
Were you selling lip balm? She said that she bought some from a table that was also selling soap and incense. Was that you? (There are photos on my blog of her outfits on Friday and Saturday.)
Aw, sorry you didn't get to come--I didn't get around as much as I usually do since I had the Artists' Alley table. I did have help but didn't want to load my friends down with my responsibilities, so I only got to see Eric Vale for about 5 minutes but got to talk to Chris Ayres quite a bit--usually ran into him when I went out for a smoke.
Yep, I was selling lip balm--Lyeslingers is my soaping and other stuff name and I'm pretty sure I was the only soapmaker there. I didn't have incense this round--the weather's been too humid to cure cones so I had to pass til it steadily stays less humid. I'm hoping to have some ready if I can do DaishoCon. I'll bop over to your blog and check out her costumes to see if I saw her.
